E Cigarette FAQ

Q) WHY IS MY ATOMISER LEAKING?

A1) Most atomisers will begin to leak when they’re approaching the end of their life span
A2) If your atomiser is relatively new, make sure it is screwed securely to the base of your tank. Also, check for any missing rubber rings on the atomiser and around the base of your tank. It’s also useful to check for any dislodged wicks. All of these problems will cause leaking.
Q) WHY DOES MY CLEAROMISER/TANK TASTE BURNT?
A1) If you’ve had your tank for between 3 & 15 days, it could be nearing the end of it’s life.
A2) Every time you get a new atomiser/clearomiser/tank, top up with E-Liquid and leave it in there (to soak) without vaping for 5-10 minutes before first use, as dry burning your wicks will cause them to taste burnt and have a shorter life span. Also, when using tanks that don’t have a bottom coil, don’t forget to keep your tank topped up to avoid dry burning your wicks.
Q) MY BATTERY IS LIGHTING UP BUT I’M NOT GETTING ANY FLAVOUR OR VAPOUR. HOW COME?
A1) This could be your clearomiser/tank not making a connection. If you use a replaceable tank, ensure the atomiser is screwed on securely to the base of your tank without overtightening it. If you use a disposable clearomiser, ensure it is screwed on securely to your battery. Again, avoiding overtightening.
A2) This problem might also be caused by a faulty battery. If it’s a relatively new battery, try cleaning the connection point out with tissue or cotton wool. If it’s slightly older, it could be the connection pin has recessed back inside itself, particularly if you’re a little heavier handed with your device. You can attempt to pull the post back out of a turned off battery, but please note this at your own risk.
Q) THE LIGHT ON MY BATTERY CONTINUOUSLY FLASHES AT ME WHEN I TRY TO USE IT. WHY IS THIS?
A1) It sounds like your battery is ready for a charge. If it is fully charged (or has been charged for a while) but is still flashing, you may have a faulty battery or charger. If you have spares of everything, go through the process of elimination, or where possible, pop your offending products in store and we will thoroughly test your items for you.
A2) Another reason for this is the 10 second safety shut off system. If you hold the button down for longer than 10 seconds, to avoid over heating your battery will automatically cut out and turn itself off. Press the button 5 times as fast as you can and this may solve the problem.
Q) MY BATTERY CAN BE ON CHARGE FOR HOURS AND THE USB LIGHT NEVER GOES TO GREEN. WHY WOULD THIS BE?
Q)  WHY IS MY BATTERY ONLY TAKING HALF AN HOUR (FOR EXAMPLE) TO CHARGE UP COMPLETELY?
A1) Unfortunately, this could be either your battery or charger. Firstly, try cleaning all the connections with tissue/cotton wool and if you have spare batteries and chargers, please go through the process of elimination, or even better, pop your offending products in store and we will thoroughly test your items for you.
Q) WHEN I GO TO USE MY E CIG, THE BUTTON ON MY BATTERY LIGHTS UP & STAYS ON. WHAT COULD CAUSE THIS?
A) It sounds like your clearomiser/tank is shorting your battery out. This is because your atomiser is lacking in resistance. Remove your tank/clearomiser/atomiser from your battery, clean out the battery & replace tank/atomiser with another.
Q) WHY WON’T MY BATTERY BUTTON LIGHT UP?
A1) If your battery is 2-3 months old, it could be at the end of it’s life. When they die completely and no lights are coming on, chances are a wire inside has snapped or the lithium ion battery is incapable of holding any more power.
A2) Don’t forget the 5 click lock system! It’s a common problem, click your button five times as fast as you can to turn your batteries on & off.
Q) WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PG & VG?
A1) PG is Propylene Glycol base. This is a slightly sweeter, thinner and harsher base. Most allergic reactions are caused by this base. If you find this base doesn’t agree with you or is a bit too harsh try VG instead.  VG stands for Vegatable Glycerine, and it is a thicker, smoother base that will produce more vapour with less of the sweet after taste.
Some liquids are a mix of PG & VG, so always check before ordering anything. If it is a mix, it will usually be a 70/30 PG/VG mix (that we provide anyway). If an E-Liquid is a mix, it will be clearly displayed in the title.
Q) WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A TOP COIL AND A BOTTOM COIL?
A) A top coil clearomiser is any tank with the atomiser situated at the top, typically with longer wicks running through the entire tank. The most common versions are CE4s and iClear 16s. You must keep these tanks topped up where possible to avoid a short life and burnt flavour.
A bottom coil is when the atomiser is found on the base of your tank. The wicks are typically smaller, but take less soaking and there’s no need to keep these tanks full as the coil will always have juice on it.
Q) WHATS A DUAL COIL ATOMISER?
A) A dual coil (DC) atomiser will give you more flavour and vapour when compared to a single coil. When using a DC you’ll notice all these benefits, however you may use slightly more liquid and battery life than usual.
Q) WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF A PYREX TANK?
A) Pyrex glass is able to take a lot more heat than plastic tanks. Also, some harsher liquids will wear down most plastic quite quickly whereas pyrex is much more durable. It can also provide a cleaner taste.
Q)WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BDC AND BVC COILS?
A1) BDC stands for bottom dual coil. This is because of the two coils being situated inside the atomiser. These will produce more vapour and flavour in comparison with a single coil.
BVC stands for bottom vertical coil. This is a dual coil atomiser that will produce standard vapour and flavour but with a cleaner taste in comparison to a top coil.
